Information and experience sharing, experimentation, making propositions Since 1992, the non-profit organisation Orée brings companies and local authorities together so as to develop a joint reflection on their environmental impacts and, in particular, on environmental management and its practical implementation at the landscape level. One of the driving forces of this process lies in the help given to small and medium- sized enterprises (SMEs) to permanently integrate this parameter into their activities. Involving them in collective projects is a way to fulfil this task. Orée associates all the stakeholders in this process and more specifically environmental and consumer protection organisations, alongside key economic, public and institutional organisations. The experience of partnerships at the landscape level The field of industrial parks, meeting point for companies, local authorities, non-profit organisations and park managers, represents for Orée and its members a vast “laboratory at the landscape level” for transversal sustainable development themes: collective management, consultations, transports, risks… Working Groups: Synergies at the service of companies This synergy between companies and local authorities enables Orée to help companies, and in particular SMEs, develop their environmental policy: staff formation, consumer information, involvement of sites and subsidiaries, raising the environmental awareness of suppliers and subcontractors, design of environmentally friendly products… Support and tools to act efficiently Information and tools on environmental management, focussing on industrial parks and industrial ecology Support in the field and implementation of collective projects National, European and international thematic exchange networks
